Due to our location at 1281m above sea level and thus over 600m above the valley floor, we are both a popular hiking destination and a starting point for all those who want to go even higher.

Groppenstein Gorge:

At the foot of our mountain is the Groppenstein Gorge, which offers pleasant refreshment, especially in summer, due to its impressive waterfalls. A hiking trail then leads partly through the forest to our inn.

Lonza heads:

At 2317m is the Lonzaöpfel, our local mountain. The summit can be reached from the Himmelbauer in about 2.5 hours and offers a wonderful view over the Mölltal and to Mallnitz. Other possible destinations are the Törlkopf (2517m) and the Böseck (2842m) or the descent to Mallnitz.

Alpe Adria Trail:

The well-known long-distance hiking trail, which leads from the Großglockner to the Adriatic Sea and crosses the most beautiful areas of the region, also leads right past our farm. It is a good idea to hike one or the other stage.
